Public Interest News Network (PINN) was originally conceived to advance education, training, job and small business development opportunities for military veterans and their families. The objective still applies, and they can help to create and benefit from an enterprise that broadens the societal scope and impact of career, technical and entrepreneurship education, mentoring, work-based and service learning, lifelong and family learning.
The veteran community includes thousands of individuals and hundreds of veteran-owned small businesses and veteran-serving organizations. They can play vital roles in PINN. Veterans are focused on health, education, housing, nonprofit capacity-building, human resource and workforce development and other activities that support the public good.
PINN endeavors to provide a voice to these individuals, the organizations and institutions they represent and their respective strategic partners. They collectively possess the grit, skills, perseverance and other assets and resources required to mobilize an industry-building plan that centers on human beings and their diverse needs.
