Public Interest News Network (PINN)  aligns data journalists and solutions storytellers through a public interest communications strategy designed to  illuminate and advance bipartisan public policy discourse. The process can help policymakers understand the scale and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations in delivering essential social services. By examining workforce size, scope of services, employee roles, outcomes, societal impact and other factors, policymakers can gauge the extent to which nonprofits support public systems and where they may need additional resources. 

The National Council of Nonprofits, the Council on Foundations, the National Governors Association, the Institute for Nonprofit News, the International Franchise Association, the American Society of Association Executives and others have common policy objectives. The synergy can facilitate bipartisan public policy collaborations that focus on public interest technology solutions.
